Planning for the Inevitable

After reading on Facebook about a dog looking for a new home due to his owner’s death, I thought about my own situation.  What would happen to Suki during unexpected circumstances?  She’s my baby, and I want to make sure she’s well taken care of with as little disruption to her routine as possible.  I set about creating my care plan. My cousin will adopt Suki if something happens to me, so the new family is decided.  But how to document everything Suki’s used to for my cousin?  Joe and Cathy Connolly have come to the rescue with their book “If I Should Die Before My Dog”.

The book is written from a dog’s point of view and acts like a checklist for their care.  You can present the story of your fur baby for his/her new family in the future.  Every dog owner should have this book just in case.
